Another CDC question - using miles

I have done a search both on here and on the VS site, but cannot find the answer - apologies if it is there.

As I have given up trying to get to St Lucia next summer with the extortionate prices, it is probably back to good old Florida.

No hope of getting reward flights into MCO so looked at MIA.

Have found some in U/C.

Now, there are 2 things that I think I know:-
1) You can use 12,500 miles to get a CDC with a G booking
2) If using miles, they will not take you to Orlando, just 1 to 1.5 hours from MIA. You have to be in D or J to go further.

This leads me to think. Does the 12,500 miles just cover one journey i.e. my trip from home to LHR?

If it covers 2, could I say that I would want it to cover both my UK journeys as I won't need it on the other side?

Thanks

There are loads of threads about this - if you search for 'Limo' instead of CDC and extend the date range beyond 120 days.

this one and this one, should help a bit, but there are quite a few more.

Having said that, when it comes to range in the US, they have changed them recently, with one of the recent rounds of cost savings. The advice was to ring the Flying Club for their current limits.

In answer to your question around 'does it cover 2?' - no.

12,500 miles is needed per car, per journey. ie: to replicate the full J experience (with a limited radius) is a total of 50,000 miles for the 4 CDC's.

Nick - I think my references re MIA were a bit of a red herring as I had seen the threads about limited distances etc.

It was more the 1 or 2 journies this end which Preiffer has kindly answered.

Many thanks for your quick replies.
