Row 6 on LGW/MAN fleet

I've just booked another trip to Orlando in UC - looks like that there is only me in Upper on the return flight at the moment, so VS have allocated me 6A as my seat.
I know that 6A & 6K all but touch at the ottomans. I'm travelling alone - would more experienced UC travellers normally recommend row 6 on the LGW/MAN fleet, given the proximity of 6K?
I normally head for rows 8 or 9, as there is loads of space in front of you (especially on row 9), but this is the first time I've had the option of a seat on row 6.
Any opinions welcomed (& yes, I have read the comments in the Seat Ratings section of V-flyer).
Thanks
James

6A and K are very close together and you could be playing footsies with a stranger!!! I think they are great for a couple.

I often fly this route alone and on a return flight take row 6 as I find it cosy and quieter to sleep. Be warned though that they start the breakfast wake up from row 6 so I always tell them to leave me till last.

I'm not so sure if I was travelling alone I would choose row 6. It is perfect when we travel as a couple as we can still chat to each other, but I would feel a bit too close to a stranger otherwise.
Also, as row 6 is at the very front of the a/c, it does feel that extra bit bumpy there I think.

As others have already said 6A / K are good for couples, but I share the view that given he choice as a single traveller I would opt to go elsewhere
One other point is that the overhead bins start at row 8[;)]

Row 6 is where we put my nephew and niece - not sure I would want to sit there unless there were no other seats left in UC either alone or with a friend/partner.

Have to agree with some of the others and say that i'd probably choose to sit elsewhere when fling solo. I'm only 5'4' so tootsie touching isnt so much of an issue but the seats are quite close.
Have you checked the loads? You might get lucky and have nobody opposite you. It is a great seat, very private, just not so private when you are so close to the opposite passenger.
Thanks,
Sarah

At the moment, I'm the only passenger in UC on this flight - so I may get lucky and have no-one else opposite me. I think I may alter my seat selection to row 8 or 9 for a bit more space / privacy.
