Thinking of visiting Jamaica again either this year or next year, last time I went in 2007 I flew into MBJ and we stayed near Ocho Rios, looking on the map I saw that Kingston looks about the same distance, Is it worth flying into Kingston opposed to Montego Bay, is the airport in Kingston any better?

I would still fly in to MBJ. The road between MBJ and Ocho Rios underwent major improvement works during 2007/2008 (you will prob remember from your last trip) and some family who went late last year said the journey from MBJ to Ocho Rios was so much better now.
We flew Air Jamaica on our first trip in 2005 and KIN airport was not really any different to MBJ, in fact I would say the departure area was probably worse. MBJ is ok down at the far end now, nice and modern and quite a few decent places to eat/browse etc.

Where are you going to in Jamaica as this could influence your decision? We flew into KIN and then got a ride to Ocho Rios which took around 2 hours from memory but we did get to see a lot of the countryside and went over the mountains.
Haven't been to Montego Bay so can't give you a comparison. Although it wasn't a bad experience I guess the best thing you can say about Kingston Airport is it'll be nice when it's finished.
