LHR Config on BGI-LGW in August ?

A week or so ago I found myself locked out of being able to 'Manage My Booking' due to 'a schedule change'.

After a bit of to and fro I got back in again today to find that our seat assignments on VS29 (26th July) are still as they were (upper deck PE) but that on VS30 (5th August) they've changed and we'd been moved (a) downstairs and (b) to the centre seats. Looking at the seat map it seems they've changed the aircraft and that flight is now showing an LHR config 747....and the schedule change is a 15 minute earlier departure.

I must admit to being disappointed that there's going to be no bubble for that leg (quietly hoping that the outbound doesn't suffer the same fate) but at least I've now snagged window seats...

Weeeelll, up to a point. Having done both, I still prefer the 'private cabin' feel of the bubble...but others in my family disagree..

Plus you have the chance of being upgraded as there are 54 J seats instead of 14 and usually quite a few upgrades from W to J on this config when it flies from LGW.

I'm praying the upgrade gods will be smiling on us on the 16th [:)] as I can't upgrade with miles (used the Amex vouchers). It's showing as a LHR aircraft out to BGI and a LGW aircraft on the return.I did notice a recent post on one of the barbados travel forums that stated that VS were moving the BGI flight to LHR on 11th December but took little notice because this rumour seems to appear every year.

Ah, that would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath...[:D]

And I've just noticed a message in my inbox notifying me of the departure time change...
