Virgin Blue Lounges

I am flying from London thru to Sydney on Virgin Atlantic and then on to Melbourne with Virgin Blue. I believe that my Priority Pass Card will get me in to the Sydney and Melbourne domestic lounges and was wondering whether any one has any experience of them as a way of passing an hour or two. They look quite clubhouse like on the Virgin Blue website

They're OK but they're certainly not Clubhouses. The showers at SYD will be useful for you. Food and drink options are limited but sufficient.Staff are nice and friendly.DJ (as an airline) are great.

Still trying to weigh up if its worth paying for this for the NH clan from SYD-PER, not knowing what domestic gate area facilities are like, would The Lounge offer approx 45 quids worth of benefit (approx cost for 3 of us), given that mrs NH needs substantial coffee loadings, food for mini nh and bar treats for yours truely..

any futher experiences since David's post above?

IMHO the answer would be no. There's a good food court in the domestic departures area (I ended up leaving the lounge and taking food back from the food court as the offerings in the lounge were limited). DJ were quite happy for passengers to take on their own food and drink although they offer a pay bar and snacks on board.

That was our feeling, as didn't sound particularly great value, but was keen to get some knowledge in case we were missing out on something worthwhile..

Thanks

I agree with DL, the food options at the terminal are pretty good. Showers would have been a bonus, but we arrived from HK pretty fresh.
