Virgin have signed a deal with Jet Airways to codeshare flights from London to Mumbai.

How does this code share work, I have been dumped on to BA to Mumbai now that Virgin have rewarded year of loyality with a get stuffed message of happiness. I fly around twice each month on this route for work and as company policy states PE only I will have to fly in economy.

Can we still earn TP's on the jet flight if we book through VA? Can we still use the Club House with our gold cards?

I have to express how disapointed I am with Virgin at the moment, back in 2006 they used to fly at 6pm out of LHR and get into Mumbai at 7am which was great and then they matched BA flight times and wonder why its difficult. No discussion just pull the plug. I can not see VA re-instating this route now they have a code share agreement.

While I can understand your annoyance and disappointment at VS for ending the route and code-sharing it with Jet, I do object to the epithet you have used to describe economy. Many people have no choice but to fly economy and to describe them as such is insulting and demeaning.

This wasnt meant to offend you or anyone else, I have to travel E or PE with work twice a month to Mumbai and so the term it just how we describe it where we work based on the BA experience.

Have you tried Jet yet? From everything I have heard they do offer a very good product.

Not on international routes yet, within India the service is very good but E class seating is cramped. I'm flying home on the 27th on Kingfisher again in E class to try it out and will swap to try Jet from Mumbai on the 11th of June. Its finding an alternative to PE on VA that is the problem.

Yeah I can understand that. If you get a chance post a quick TR of the JET flight.
