My son Chris (red member) got an email this morning offering three months free businessworld gold membership.
The blurb says:-
We are excited to introduce our new Flying Club partner, Regus, the worlds leading provider of flexible workplace solutions. As a Flying Club Red member, you receive a free 3 month membership to Regus businessworld gold; offering you unlimited immediate access to any of the 1,000 Regus business lounges and cafs around the globe.
Details
here -I assume there will be a similar offer on its way to me at some stage. I have received a similar offer from Business Traveller, but didn't bother.
Anyone used them - or have any views on the service?
Nick

Cheers for the heads up - looks like Ag get it free from what I can see on the membership benefits.

You can also get 'free' access via BAA worldpoints if you subscribe to business traveller magazine and use up some of your points.
I thought about it but the lounges tend to be in city centres and the odd railway station and not at airports so its not really an alternative to an airport lounge.
They are more geared up to the business traveller who needs somwhere to work and get some light refreshments as you can hire a meeting room too.

Received a complimentary gold Regus businessworld card today in the post (apparently worth 199 a year).
Looks like this promo is aimed at VS Black Amex card holders.
You have to activate it online but not sure if it will be of any use to me.

I received my card this morning but I can't activate it. At first the link wouldn't work, but now it does i'm getting an error message when I try to register the card. Anyone else having problems?

I registered OK, but that was with Internet Explorer. Chrome would not work.

IE8 didn't work (along with 99% of all other web sites [:(!]) but worked OK in compatibility mode.

Mine worked OK. Don't know how useful it'll be.

To be fair how many people will actually use it..
a classic marketing tool with implied 'gold status' and 'lounge' access with this target audience - they're bound to bite..

I tried this morning and failed, called up and they said that the site had gone down and I should wait an hour. I successfully activated this afternoon, no problems.
FYI...I have been to some Regus offices before and the standard varies but some of the ones in central london are fantastic...check out Berkley Square office, the lounge has the same feel as the VAA lounge at Heathrow. Will definately be using to arrange 1-1 meetings when I am out of town.

Got mine this morning also, registered with problems using firefox. As others have said, not sure how useful it will be, but as a true Northerner, anything for free [:D]

Like James, mine was sent as a benefit of being a VS Black AmEx card holder, not sure who else they are targeting with this promo.

That makes sense - although I am a FC Gold the only credit card I have is a NatWest Black Mastercard and I haven't heard or received this card. Can't say I am bothered tho [;)]

I've had nothing and I have the black Amex card [:(]
Would be quite nice to be able to pop into the Lloyds building and a few others for a look round, for free, whilst enjoying a free coffee. [:D] Like Open House weekend, without the queue.

Got one through the post today, but stated I was eligible for it as a SILVER Flying Club member, (although I didn't get the vouchers HG mentioned).
The only problem is my sliver membership expired at the end of April!
Oh well, it's not as if I would have used it anyway.
