Hi,
I`ll be flying with Virgin (VS200) from London Heathrow to Sydney.
My flight to UK arrives at 15:55 in terminal 5, and VS200 departs from terminal 3 at 22:30
My luggage will not be checked through Sydney, so I must collect it and then go to T3.
Could you advise me if there will be enough time for the transfer?
Thanks in advance.

6 hours 35 minutes will be oooodles of time no problem! (unless of course you have a delay meaning you end up with considerably less.

Thank you.
I know that it is a lot of time, but I asked because this is my first flight where I have to collect luggage at Heathrow, go to passport control and then change the terminal.
In my other flights, my luggage has always been checked to the final destination and I used the 'transfer' option.

I have to fly into the UK also to connect with VS and collect my bags and re-check them. I have actually made it from the plane in T1 to the departure lounge in T3 in about 40 minutes so you'll be fine.

Welcome to V-Flyer [:)]
In T5 get the lifts down to the lowest level and the HEX platform. It takes about 40 mins via the free use of the HEX. It's a quite a long walk once you get off the HEX to T3 departures as well!

Will it be faster if I use Heathrow Connect to T3?

You are transfering terminals not airports. You have enough time to transfer to Gatwick with all the time you have. [:o)]

Heathrow Connect only operates between T4 and Heathrow Central, you will need to use the Heathrow Express from T5.
