Hello all,
I have a couple of questions that some of you maybe able to answer for me..
I recently took a single sector Upper Class flight from LHR to JFK (mainly to use the Clubhouse) and liked it so much I have booked my next return Upper Class flight for the end of the year! And so my questions are:
1: Im booked under a Z fare and was wondering whether all Lounges (LHR & JFK) and the revivals lounge at LHR can be used under this booking code? (I know you dont get the transfers with this but they are of no use to me anyway)
2: I will reach Silver FC status whilst taking this flight. Will I receive the extra 25% miles on this booking seeing as my return sector of my flight will be in effect under Silver status instead of Red
3: Do you still get the luggage tags (Silver ones in my case) with your name and address on to attach to your suitcases? I know you get them with Gold but Im not too sure about Silver.
As always thanks for your help!
Pete

2: I will reach Silver FC status whilst taking this flight. Will I receive the extra 25% miles on this booking seeing as my return sector of my flight will be in effect under Silver status instead of Red
If you reach Silver on your outward trip then your return will be at Silver
3: Do you still get the luggage tags (Silver ones in my case) with your name and address on to attach to your suitcases? I know you get them with Gold but Im not too sure about Silver.
You will get Silver tags with your name and Silver FC number on - NOT address - these can take some weeks/months after qualifying to receive
As always thanks for your help!

A couple of additions - revivals don't allow guests
Agree the return should be at silver however the same scenario occured for me - I made silver on a partner which took a couple of weeks to post, when I got it into my accound it didn't automatically upgrade the miles subsequently earnt and already posted on a vs flight. Pete however you should be fine since you're on VS assuming the miles post correctly into your account.

It is the TPs that are of concern here and they should be posted within 24hrs of landing - esp as he is on VS metal.

I only got one but it came pretty quick after I got silver status.
Not sure if they actually help in getting priority bagagge etc as thats all done via the baggage lable tag the agent attached is it not?

Not sure how many tags you get as I went straight to Gold and got two.
Priority luggage is done via the bar code and nothing else I understand. The point of the Silver (or whatever colour tags) is for identification of bags and is useful should the bag be misplaced etc.

Yes you only get 1 Silver bag tag, which quite honestly is a complete waste of time as most pax are going to carry at least 1 checked and 1 cabin baggage. The quality of the Ag card/bag tag is also very poor now too.
Make sure the info is correct on them as the one VS sent me when I dropped to AG was completely wrong. That was almost 4 months ago and I'm still waiting for replacements [V]

I thought it was for putting on your bag when flying LCC to show that you don't normally travel in this way...[:w]
