Spring UC menu avoid the ravioli

Just had a very pleasant flight on VS001 to Liberty. Virgin staff as always were absolutely fantastic. However, the food left a lot to be desired - or more specifically the Pumpkin Ravioli, which was undoubtedly one of the strangest things I have ever eaten (an this coming from someone who regularly eats at the St. John is saying something)

Rather than having individual Ravioli as frankly I expected what arrived was a sort of pasta cake, more akin to a lasagne than anything else. Sadly the taste was pretty foul too. I should have chosen something else but felt it would be the lightest option - Ravioli usually is, sadly this was a pretty hefty portion and sank to the pit of my stomach like some stricken battleship.

If you're a vegetarian I do feel sorry for you, perhaps get a meal from Premium, if you are a carnivore then order anything but the aforementioned dish - trust me it's not worth it.

I have had the ravioli several times this season and love it - I think it is one of VS finest vegetarian offerings to be honest.

As for the vegetarain pastry thing - well that is ONE to AVOID !

Each to their own I guess.

Is it usually one big cake? I have had this dish in UC before, a good while ago, and remember it being a number of small ravioli parcels as you'd expect, and very nice it was too.

Thanks,
Sarah

I dislike the dish also (it has zero flavour and a horrible consistency) - in fact when I went on holiday, I asked for the vegetarian meal from PE.

Never mind though, the new menu starts this week - lots more new things to try!
