Hey
Can anyone tell me what the benefits are of booking a VS Codeshare flight rather than booking the flight directly with the operating airline? I know that it may be easier if youre booking a two leg flight such as LHR-EWR-IAH, but what about LHR-PEK on Air China?
Thanks for anyone help
Ryan

Sometimes the codeshare airline goes to places that VS don't so that you get the miles and some TPs on the operating airline. The Air China flight you mentioned is one as well as LHR-SIN on SQ

Thanks Honeylamb
So if you travel to say SIN then you get miles on VS?

Yes and TPs. When I flew HKG-SIN in First I got both miles and TP's. The latter were necessary for me to retain gold.

Does anyone have an exhaustive list of the routes VS Codeshare on?

Not sure there is a list of every destination that you can fly to on VS codeshare, but have a look on
this page of the VS site and some of the links on it, which is pretty much everything I think.

Bear in mind also that regardless of if you're on a codeshare ticket, if the airline is a FC partner you'll still earn the same miles and possibly TPs.
