Hi Guys,
We are booking our next business class flights to the US (MCO) for next Easter. Virgin's prices seem really high over 3K each, BA are much cheaper. Is the experience on BA NCW as good as Virgin's UCS.
Any help would be appreciated,
Danny

I can't give you a comparison, but flights after easter (after about April 14th) are much cheaper. Florida over Easter is really busy so we try to avoid it; the whole place is much more relaxed afterwards and hotels etc are much cheaper as well, with lots of scope for room upgrades.

All of the 4 class 777 fleet now have NGCW fitted and this is a big leap from the previous seat.I have been quite impressed with our recent CW flights.Service has ranged from incredible to bordering on lazy but the latter is in the minority.Food has been very good with not that great a difference between the First offerings.

If I could pick my seat when I book I'd pick BA over VS most of the time. If VS are a lot more , I'd go BA, it's still a great product.

Right now, with things being the way they are I would go with BA, the hard product is good, the soft product is good and it's a lot less money, no brained IMHO

Given the price difference I personally would'nt have any difficulty going with BA in Club World. I now find BA food in J superior to VS J - plus they still serve Tanquery (on request) and you get a decent amenity kit too.

If it is NGCW, and it is cheaper by any margin then I'd choose BA.
There are a few other topics of the same question that may be useful for your such as
this.
We flew NGCW to Singapore at Christmas, the TR's are here and contain our comparisons to UC.

Yes, luckily our babies are now men so we no longer have this problem.

Thanks for all your help,
If we do decide to go BA from Gatwick, can we check our bags through to MCO from Manchester and would we get the full NCW allowance including Golf clubs on the domestic legs.
Regards,
Danny

Will your connecting flight from MAN be with BA? And part of the same PNR? If so, then yes your allowance will be the allowance for your long haul sector. To be safe, I would book both flights as MAN-MCO with BA.
Thanks,
Sarah

although i am very happy travelling CW with BA i do think tha VS UC has one huge advantage, space. Having aisle access froma all seats makes me feel that the cabin is far more spacious especially on the LGW planes as the UC cabin is small.
But.......
price in the end would be make or break for me, as the differences are really small, you will enjoy the experiance whatever airline you choose
