Of no great suprise, call today from VS, saying they've cancelled the above on 24th Nov, and reverting all to the VS201.
Actually suits us better, we get extra half day in HKG..[y]
but info for any others..

I think Virgin have cancelled nearly all their VS239's this winter and they seem to be putting everyone on the VS201. Because I am travelling to Australia via Hong Kon this October I have been told to expect two very busy flights to and from Hong Kong to Heathrow.

I had the call too, with the cancellation of VS239. Bit of a pain for me but what can you do eh? Enjoy Hong Kong for a bit longer.

From what date have they cancelled it, as I am heading that way on the 7th August, no call or email yet.

Wow, very surprised to hear that the second LAX flight has gone, I have used it a few times.

It will be back for six weeks over Christmas and New Year.

Actually, what is the reason to cancel the 238/9? E/Y is always full and PE 80% as well...
Is it because J and cargo not doing well?
Edit by mod to remove text speak... Nick

Actually the last time I flew on the VS239, economy only had 30 people booked whilst PE and J were full.
