Hello all,
I am about to fly on VS for the first time and wondered if anyone knew what wines they will have on my flight? It's VS45.
Thanks,
Andrew

Welcome to the site.
What class are you flying?

It depends which cabin you are in.
In Economy and Premeum Economy it will be 'red or white sir' to a more extensive choice (at least three reds and three whites) in Upper Class.
Have a look at some of the recent trip reports as some people list the wines etc they have.

Thanks - does anyone have much experience with the whites? On a slightly different topic, I'm returning on VS10 which I understand doesn't serve a full dinner i.e. no starters yet they're shown on Tinkerbelle's post?

Thanks Tinkerbelle but I'm devastated to learn I can't have the fab-sounding cod coming back

You could if you changed your flight to the earlier VS4 which still offers a full meal service.

The cod has had very mixed reviews and I'm not sure changing your flight to try the cod would be worth your while !.
The good night service is still very good and you wont go hungry !
Anyone know when the menu will change again?

Unlikely - Z class! If I get to JFK early what's the likelihood of them letting me go on VS4?

Less that zilch I'd say.
Mercy flight to see your dying grandmother possibly but wanting to try the cod just won't cut it (apart from gicing the staff a good laugh).
seriously spend the extra three hours shopping downtown !

Heck, I wouldn't go changing my flight to eat virgin on board catering.
If you get there early just enjoy the clubhouse instead.

Neither would I, but as for choosethedrew's question - if there is space and if you get someone amenable, VS have been known to offer plenty of flexibility on the day where there is a choice of flights. On the day is critical here - with a Z fare, trying for alternative days is a no no.

Depends on loads - twice in the last 12 months I've arrived early and been asked if I want to move to the earlier flight. Both times on a 'Z' fare.
