Reward Flights - advice please

Can I ask what is probably a silly question (to some of you lol) but I think you're probably the best to ask[^]

Am in the planning stages of another MCO trip, I have enough miles (hopefully, if there's availability) for an UC reward flight for myself, but I'd also like to get a reward flight (economy) for a friend.

I called Virgin yesterday and was given a couple of differing responses - I was advised I couldn't get a reward flight for a non family member (?) and then because I was looking at UC, it wouldn't be possible to get a reward flight in economy (?).

Does anyone know for sure if I'm able to get a reward flight (in a different class) for a friend?

Thanks everyone.

Clare

Providing you are using miles all from the same account, and as long as that account is in your name, or you are an authorised user on it, you can booked reward flights using miles from it for anyone you want, in any class you want.

It gets a little more complicated if you want to book an UC flight with miles from your account and then the Y reward for your friend with either miles whollely from their account, or with part from yours, part from another. This would have to be booked and ticketed seperately, not that it is a problem to do that, just they way VS have to do it.

I would call VS back, on the UC reservations number, explain fully what you want and they should be able to sort it, providing their is availability of course (good luck with that one!!!)

Call back, there shouldn't be an issue for either thing, I have in the past booked reward flights for friends.

As already mentioned, call back and ask to speak to someone in the UK.

It can be done. You can spend your miles on flights for anyone you want.
