Hi all,

I'm flying from West to East in early feb and was delighted to see VX adding the Fort Lauderdale route to the network. Checked prices form both SFO and LAX last week and bothe were coming in at $99 for all dates. Just checked today and during the week that I want to go, all flights are $500+ with all other dates around still at $99.... Anyone have any idea why the hike? I'm not aware of it being a public holiday or anything around the 3rd of Feb and it seems strange to have a hike on both the LAX and SFO routes??

Virgin America was having a sale that ended recently. Also, if Virgin America thinks it can get a higher fare on those dates, they will try. The market will gauge the result.

Penny_L, I stand corrected, it is at Dolphins stadium![oo]
That's stupid to have it before the Superbowl. I know it's a mickey mouse game but surely there would be none of the teams in the Superbowl participating it.
