It was very difficult, but I managed it last year (even got a suite in 'suites' class...) Up until this announcement it was still theoretically possible by going from Manchester. AFAIK, it was only the flights from London that you couldn't use in J or F

But don't forget you can still go LHR-KUL on Malaysian First Class (We've got our tickets for Apr 2010) and then you're only a hop, skip, and a jump from Singapore....

Is it possible to book a one-way in Y on SQ with miles? I'm thinking not...

I always knew if I wanted to experience SQ J or Suites then it would be out of my own pocket.

Better start saving for a J then, or looking out for sales.
I've learned to accept that the suites are probably unnatainable (and probably not worth the extra wonga anyway [:)])
