Which is the preference when sitting in UC , 747-400 or A340-600??. Or is there no difference?

No difference to me what the aircraft is - UC is UC and it depends on the crew & food (and drink [:I]) if the flight is good or not.

You could do a search for this, it's often discussed. You'll find lots of views too, for me it's 747 purely for the space as the suites are somewhat larger than the 346. The 346 is however less noisy, newer looking and smarter.
The service is really the same however you can get more people at a 747 bar!

If you can get 2 seats up at the nose of a 747 that can be a real treat as its great as a couple and feels quite exclusive in your own little area. otherwise any plane will do as long as its not up by the bar!

Of course if you are flying on a Gatwick 744 the experience feels more special as the cabin only holds 14 and feels very exclusive and I always prefer it to UC on a heathrow flight, although as others say, it is the crew that really make or break the flight

I have only one thing to point out though and thats flying from LHR over LGW you get:
1.private wing
2.superior CH
3.revivals
4.more overseas CH
And with a massive two tier service you would expect the price to reflect all the missing services...but sadly not.
but definately a crew will always make or break a flight
have a great flight[y][y]

747 all the way - bigger seats, much more exclusive feel due to the breakdown of the cabins and it's faster.
