Well frankly, I have decide that Conde Nast travelers are dwarfs with no taste buds and little taste in airlines as well, yes I do not agree with the ratings and lets face facts, anytime Ryanair is voted in the top 5 of anything regarding quality the whole thing should be thrown out.

Leasure, surely you mean Leisure [:?]
Well, at least Ryanair are at the bottom of the low cost carriers, so it's not all bad.
Once again VS are proving popular, and whilst many regular travellers do have complaints, they must be still doing something right.

Thank for correcting me again Decker....
Neil, there are plenty more LCC in the world and Ryanair doesn't even come close to them.
Sadly Conde Nast has decided this is the world rankings, so by that standard Ryanair are above VX,FB,F9 and WN, lets see, not a chance in the world.

WIth you there Scrooge. I find Conde Nest a rather odd periodical and guess that is reflected in their readers ratings ....

You are right, I was thinking purely thinking UK based LCC.

I wonder how many people actually place any weight on these rankings?
Every semi decent airline in the world claims to have won an award. It seems that every year VS is voted the top airline by one of the award schemes whether it be the Daily Telegraph, Conde Nast, the OAG awards etc. And each award seems to have different winners, so whilst CN vote VS best for business, OAG will say its EK and so on, this just adds to the confusion.
Then of course there is the issue of where the company awarding the awards is based! Great example is the LCC awards above. There are, as Scrooge points out, many other excellent LCC carriers above FR but because the CN readers don't fly them they don't get into the top five. I am sure if we went to Singapore and took a vote for the best business airline- SQ would come out on top!
So other than use as a marketing tool by the airlines do these awards really help travellers?

Exactly, it doesn't help at all, in fact it really just serves as a good way for a little 'award winning' PR from the airlines.
I am waiting for the FB page to post something [}:)]

Yeh I bet we see a lot of PR coming out of Crawley over the next couple of weeks. I am still stumped how SQ and EK are not higher in these rankings.

You mean you don't think that VS UC is better than SQ international business class ?
