A good post to hold (IF the perks are reasonable) but the salary stinks - what is that sing ? 'pay peanuts . . . .'

LOL - so, the median weekly wage in the UK is 479 or 24,908 and the top ten per cent of wage earners make >980 - so that puts the job in upper ranges of wage earners ...

Interesting 'Quick the Boss is Coming' button on the Careers website.

Could be an interesting role, given that I tick most of the boxes, but yeah, bit of a pay cut here too.

It may seem that they are looking for a lot of experience for what looks like not a lot of money, but remember that some of the target skills rather assume that the applicant may come from an industry sector (e.g. catering and service) where pay isn't that great to begin with.

One big no-no in that job spec is that it is uses some company internal acronyms and names. They should always be translated into plain English for an external advert. It's not a well written job spec, IMHO.

the mind boggles at the thought of this being a pay cut! where on earth do you all work!

For VAA that's a good salary!! They are notorious for paying less than the industry wage. They rely on eager (desperate in some cases) people to work for the brand and have it on their CV. Does mean though they probably lose a good few people after a year or so who have benefited from the brand on their CV and get themselves paid a whole stack more elsewhere. Guess the company doesn't mind if its always got those eager ones falling over themselves to fill the void!!!

Bit of a dream job if you ask me, not going to announce if my income is higher or lower but I would be happy with what they are offering for the job itself.

Would be lovely to know who gets the job and congratulate them.

I would be delighted to actually know the person in charge ... sadly, I don't know anyone I can think of who would do a good job. That is, apart from my #1 who would be excellent, but I think he might baulk at the workload involved!
