I am sorry if this has been asked and answered before but can I use my miles to make bookings for other people?
Was just looking at Tokyo and in Y the sale fare is GBP 540 and Miles plus Money was coming in at GBP 460 and 2,000 miles which is the best use of miles I have found for ages!!

Can I book a group of us on?

The M+M T&C are here. Para4.3 if you scroll down.

I can see nothing in the T&C that make them any different from other reward fares, so would say that there is nothing to stop you using your miles to buy other people's tickets.

The one problem may be the number of M+M seats available on the plane.
If that number is smaller than your group size then you are snookered.

OK, I will pass this on as the others don't care about miles or tier points so

Don't forget that you dont earn ANY miles on an M&M fare

So you're spending 2000 miles (nominal price to buy would be 38) to save 80 in air fare. BUT you're losing approx 10,000 miles in not earning them on the trip - worth nominally 190

Short term gain is 80, short term loss is 38, with a long term loss (should you buy the miles) of 190 - overall loss of 148...

Think before you book....

For sure, in my case the savings were rather large and I was in a good mood and didn't mind losing the miles to help a friend.

Thanks PeterStanfield that little explaination is helpful.

I plan to use M+M next year for my kids who will not earn miles anyway.

Does that make sense?
