Hi All,

Had this VS offer sent by email. Apparantly if you convert loyalty points into miles you get entered into a draw for 25,000 miles. My question is a) is it worth ditching the minimum number of points to go into the draw? and b) which is the best programme to convert points to miles?

I have points in:
Hyatt - 5000 points to 2000 miles
Hilton - 10000 points to 1500 miles
Marriott - 10000 points to 2000 miles

Not an expert in the relative values of hotel chain points but initial thinking is that the Hyatt ones probably have the best value conversion?

Would be grateful for any advice.

Points generally have the most value in the program you earn them in so I would advise only converting if you are sure you will never suddenly need 25'000 Hilton, Hyatt or Marriott points for a redemption, particularly as this is a prize draw, not a guarantee of the bonus.

Sage advice there [y]. The conversion rate from most hotel schemes is poor, I wonder how poor the chances of winning the prize are [:?].
