Sleep Suits

I flew upper class on VS7 yesterday to LA. Why do they not put enough sleep suits for each passenger onboard? Its a day flight granted, but 11 hours 25 minutes is a long time to fly.
The crew said they only load enough for the night flights.

Flight was great - overbooked so upgrades in the cabin, a virgin employee had to sit on the jump seat for the entire flight.
The judges from the BBC dance program, Strictly Come Dancing, Len and Bruno were onboard for the weekly commute to do the LA based US version of the show.

Going back home on the MCO-MAN flight as its more convienent given I live in Cheshire - those old B744's are a joy to fly but the Upper Class service feels very different.

You have really answered your own question, only a limited number are loaded on day flights. I imagine they know how many are used/requested on each flight/route and they load accordingly. Of course there will be flights when there aren't enough, but quite equally the same flight the next day there might not be any used, so its a tough balancing act.

I prefer the UC service on the MAN/LGW fleet when in the air, I think it feels a lot more personal, but each to their own. Oh, and the LGW/MAN B744's really aren't 'old' either, 7/8 years, which is nothing for an a/c and they are the newest 747's in the VS fleet.

Well, they used to be massively over sized, but that seems to have changed. I would say go with the size top you usually wear, it seems to work pretty well for me.

It's possible they are washing them during the day ready to load the recycled ones onto the night flights!!!!!!!

Are they washed after use? [;)] Sorry, couldn't resist.

Personally I don't use them as they snap, crackle and pop with all the static they create, get very warm and uncomfortable too. I have a cheap pair of cotton top and bottoms I use now. Much more pleasant to wear and you know what's happended to them. [}:)]
