Hi,

Is anybody able to tell me or does anybody know which VS aircraft have now been retired. I know that 2 A340-600's are going to be and I know that 1 747-400 - G-VAST is going to be but does anybody know when???

Thanks,

G-VAST already gone to TAECO, Xiamen - unlikely to come out again in VS colours.
346s in Tarbes.

Although the A340's have said to be put into storage do you know if there is any chance they woulod ever re-join the virgin fleet??? Also G-VAST - is there any change we would she her flying for virgin again - even if the LGW fleet gets too tight and they need an extra aircraft???

I thought G-VAST was being leased out?

G-VAST is on a wet lease to parties unknown and is being prepped for that.

The two 346's are probably done with VS, but there is always a chance they will come back.

Only rumoured - it may not have happened...

Doubt VAST will be leased out as Bill pointed out it was only a rumour, expect her to exit the hangar in China in all white.

AS for the 346's given where they are, I.E: Next to the Airbus aircraft recycling hangar, and the fact that the 346 is hardly in demand, I would not be surprised at all if they don't make the air again.

Not sure about G-VAST, however from Nov'09 G-VROM (LGW 747) will be sub-lease to Aerosur of Bolivia for 18 months flying the route between Santa Cruz and Madrid.

G-VROM will be repainted in Aerosur livery, which has
large animals painted on their fuselages!!

So that leaves the LGW/MAN fleet with only 6 aircraft?

Love those liveries. As for LGW/MAN fleet being depleted, lets hope they get some of the LHR fleet down there quickly so I have a half decent chance of getting a plane without Nova in three weeks time.

Someone there with a sense of humour.

Perhaps if they use a mouse, VS might take it back into the fleet.

It's the second tail that might be fun! [8D]

That does seem to be her new colours

The various stages of conversion can be seen in this thread. It includes a few V-Flyer references!

Seems they are leaving the seating as VS.
First operational flight due on the 19th Nov so it will be interesting to see Bolivian opinions of 'UC'

That's going to be a great looking 747.

If they're keeping the UCS, does that mean VS is licensing it ...
