recently booking a PE JFK>LHR r/t, on VS website it offered me a PE to UC upgrade for $840 outward, but $3228 on return leg.
why the huge difference - is that just loadings, or ?

Looks to me like the first offer was an upgrade to Z whilst the return to J (or D) so guess you will get a CDC with it.
