Hi we have just got back from Twilight and have upgraded to Extra legroom seats 62 & 63 H&K.(747 400 prob Virginia Plain or Ruby Tuesday)
Has anyone had any experience or seen these seats, as I thought the extra legroom seats were only 4 across the middle?
We were in the smaller front cabin but just thought I'd ask re the 2 x 2 at the rear and the check in agent mentioned these, so we thought we'd try them.

No, there are a lot of the extra leg room seats in the 3's by the windows, and nearly all the LGW fleet have them in the 2's at the back. The room will be really good, the only slight thing would be that you do get quite a bit of foot traffic round the back of the a/c with people 'having a wonder'.

I sat in an extra leg room seat, just to see what is was like, and whilst at first glance it didn't look that much more room, when sat in the seat it was quite noticeable and if I ever have to fly in Y again, I would certainly try for these seats.

Have a great flight.

It is very easy to notice which seats have extra legroom as the seats are covered in purple fabric rather than the grey/red colour - so you will see that they are throughout the whole cabin.

And as Neil says, it's only when you sit down that you will notice the extra room.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Was so tempted to just upgrade hubby and I and leave the kids in the smaller row behind us, but as my 14 year old is 6ft 1, it didn't seem right.
We sat in these seats before they had the extra legroom and thought they were great, so with even more legroom they will be even better!
30 seemed a reasonable price to pay for this as when we went in PE in April, it cost us 10 times more!

I agree, for the price, they are a really good alternative to PE, especially for a family who might not be able to afford the costs to upgrade everyone. Using Twilight is also a good way to bag these seats.
