V-Flyer

Looks like Virgin are busy shuttling NFL players to London for the game at Wembley this Sunday (pics on VS Facebook page). Good publicity stunt, but made me think...

From this time last year, how many flights have VS cut back on versus how many planes have they retired? They seem to still somehow have a few spare ones floating around for bussing the PM around, or NFL players (taking one team from Boston, and one from Tampa, that must have been 2 they needed spare for this).

Also, I wonder how the team decided who would sit where. The team plus entourage is definitely more than UC + PE seats available. Did they democratically pick straws, or just fight each other?! Also, I'm guessing most of the team is going to be sat in UC, and if you know the size of some of these guys, that's gonna lead to some rather uneven weight distribution! I can just see one of the cabin crew tapping a 300lb defense player on the shoulder as he gets comfy in 2a...'scuse me sir, but could I ask you to move back to 60a, just to help balance the plane out a little'....

I saw this discussed over on ANet ... speculation there is that the teams will travel with a lot of management / executives, so they'll be the ones up front ...

Slinky was correct - all the officials/managers etc sit in Upper with the players spread throughout the economy cabin.

Actually Randy I can see doing it, Tom, once he got his ticket I am sure the G-V was fueled.

Someone should post a pic of the Linebackers, Defensive End's or Nose Tackle's sitting in an economy seat. This I have to see...[:D]
