Per you question here You can't use another airlines miles to upgrade flights, only to book flights if they are partners. As for Clubhouse access http://www.v-flyer.com/faq.asp#26 .

No cross VS/SQ upgrading allowed.

Loads of folks can use the VS LHR CH, including some SQ cards. Which class or card will you be traveling?

Actually access to the CH changed this year. Its commonly thought the change was made because nobody (including myself!) who was flying SQ would use the very average KF lounge and so there was a mass migration to the CH. This stopped all that.

From 1 May 2009, as a part of an agreement with Virgin Atlantic, access to SilverKris Lounges and Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses will be based on the airline operating the flight that our members are traveling on.
SilverKris Lounge access is available to Flying Club Gold members only when they travel on a flight operated by Singapore Airlines. Likewise, Clubhouse access will be available to PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members when they take a flight operated by Virgin Atlantic (i.e. if the aircraft is operated by Virgin Atlantic).

Solitaire PPS Club and Life members will continue to enjoy the services of Virgins Revivals arrival lounge in London when they travel on SQ322 to London.

I used the CH when travelling to SIN Y class back in June. Has this now changed?

I have the same question with regards to flying F/R on SQ ex LHR - has the perk of CH/Revivals access now been removed for those w/o SQ status? The SQ F lounge is pretty lame. I know J stopped some time ago.

(My sad trivial claim to fame is that I was the very first R pax to use the LHR CH).
