Velocity - Free Upgrade to Gold...

I was checking my emails late on Friday evening and how excited was I to find an email from Velocity saying I had been upgraded from Red to Gold as a freebie for nearly making it myself. Free luggage and The Lounge access.

Odd I thought as I can only recall flying DJ once in the last year - but they know best.

Continued checking the other emails and oh what a shock. How gutted was I - as am actually flying with them in December.

The email was prefixed with a Friday 13th tag. How gutted was I - as am actually flying with them in December. Same thing happened to the OH.

Was it a marketing ploy or just a mistake? Who knows - would have been nice though.

For what its worth you can just pay for The Lounge access or use a Priority Pass if you have one.

I think someone boo-boo'd and hit the send all button by mistake :)
