Oh dear, eclear's involved in this one as well. [:?]
Hope all those effected manage to either get home or get their money back, and you've got to feel for those that have just lost their jobs 6 days before Christmas.

Reading between the lines, I wouldn't be trusting E-Clear to stay in business for long...

Can't see them going out of business short term - they must hold millions and millions of pounds of other people's money.
Suggest they may be forced to alter their T&C, or risk losing a LOT of customers.

All the consumer groups say book with a credit card to get maximum protection but a fat lot of use it is if the card handlers do not pay the operator in good time, especially if the failure to do this results in the apparently unnecessary going under of a company.
There is a case for to be held in escrow for trips not yet taken but no excuse to hang on to it for any longer.

Allbury is very sad as one if their brands Argo Holidays, Jetlife and Libra had been around for years before they bought it, and it was a good company with a good product and good staff - a bit like Kosmar, another specialist who ended up as part of XL and collapsed with them.
