I will be going to HKG on UC soon, as was wandering if anyone could advice what level of service is provided on board? As the flight leaves late in the evening,is tehre still a full service menu after departure?

Also, does anyone know if VS238/VS239 is still running or plan to come back?

Thanks

Welcome to the site.

Your best bet to get a flavour of what to expect is to do a forum search.

Use the search term 'HKG' and from the drop down menus, select Search Forum as ' Trip reports- Virgin Atlantic' and set the search by date drop down to 'in the last year'.

That should bring back about a dozen Trip reports, most of which are in Upper.

There will still be a full service menu on board, but when we do the trip next month we intend to eat in the Clubhouse before setting off.

Assume the VS200 ?
It Is classed as a night flight, although full dinner menu issued at take-off. As Nick said, option to eat prior or onboard..both available..CH quite busy, as many Cape town, Dubai & Newark pax in CH during the evening.

VS200/VS201 is a Dinner service and breakfast on all sectors. Ice cream run during the flight and freedom snack menu.

The crew are mainly Hong Kong based now and are to my mind excellent and usually attentive and very quick service.

I did a TR in August in Upper to and from HKG and SYD. Some of the best service ever had in the air on all sectors of that trip.

You should find them if you search the archives.

I heard the extra HKG flight was cancelled due to low loads. There were around 14 or so UC passengers on it when we ent to HKG.
