Posted: 30 Dec 2009, 14:15Unfortunately VS are correct - you cannot upgrade a companion fare with miles or money. Occasionally people have reported being able to do this on check in, if the flight loads require VS to increase flexibility, but I've not heard of it being done at the time of booking!
