I want to go to Sydney with Virgin Atlantic but have a two or three day stopover in Hong Hong on the way out there. The flight has a stop in Hong Kong anyway but this only appears to be for a few hours. Can I book a few days stopover on Hong Kong via the Virgin Atlantic website?
Thanks.

You can only do that on the VA website if you are purchasing a one way ticket. In this case you will need to select 'more options' on the booking page, and this will allow you to select 2 journey legs departing from different cities and on different dates i.e. 1st leg as LON-HKG and the 2nd leg as HKG-SYD.

On the other hand if you are planning on returning to London, then you would need to buy a return ticket using 'more options' (LON-HKG, SYD-LON) as well as a one way ticket (HKG-SYD).

Or you do it all as one (cheaper) ticket on the phone with VS sales or your local travel agent!
Stopovers are free of charge but the price will increase a bit as you get more airport charges.

When I booked my trip to HKG / SYD, I am sure the VS website automatically gave me the option of a stopover in HKG and asked me how many days I wanted to stop over for - this was on a reward booking if that makes a difference.

IIRC to be able to book a stopover on the VS website you click on the Exact Date/Stopover option and not the Lowest Fare +/- 3days option
