Hi All,

I have booked some nice UC flights to Nairobi on Virgin using my miles and now a flight about 90 minutes after landing in Nairobi from the same airport taking me on to Mara. The question is do I need to go through the whole process of checking in again with luggage when coming off my first flight or can I give VS the connecting flight details and they will check my luggage in the whole way and I can just transfer when in Nairobi. If so can I call them up with this?

Sorry about the newbiness of this, not done many transfers in my time and I know nothing about how Nairobi Airport works generally.

Cheers, Chris

It depends if your flights are all booked on one reference (PNR). This would usually be the case if all the flights were booked at the same time with the same company. If you have however booked everything on different reference numbers then the VS agent won't be able to check you or your luggage all the way to your end destination.

Haven't been to NBO for quite a while but you may need to collect your luggage and clear customs as Nairobi is your first point of entry into Kenya.

Thanks guys. Its booked seperately so assume I will need to collect luggage, clear immigration, customs and check in again. No worries.
