Dearest Gurus[oo]
Any comments, positve or negative would be appreciated before I think about hitting the keyppad to book a few days in Malta.
Never been there before but friends went & said it was closed, however, am looking for R+R.

Many thanks in advance

I'm off in May and have been trying to get the same info! Seems to be ok inflight though they are now charging for alcohol. Ground staff in the UK seem to be useless but in Malta it seems to be efficient.
IFE is OK, film or documentaries, take your own headphones!

Hmmmm[:?]
Am debating on Le Meridien or Hotel Phoenicia, as using Airmiles otherwise I'd go to the Hilton.

Was offered a room by one of the staff at the Intercontinental but they have a big group in when I'm there so would have been too expensive for us.
Looking at The Palace as it looks pretty funky.

Last time we used them was around May 2008 for a bank holiday, can't remember if it was the early or late one though.
Air Malta were fine, nothing special but not terrible and we were in their business class. Just feels like most other short haul/euro airlines.
Malta itself, was the second time we've been. Stayed at the Hilton which we really liked, didn't like St Julians though and didn't do much this time we only had two/three nights. We can't complain because we didn't make an effort to do anything, just wanted to chill out but the place was still a little dull for that tbh.
The first time we went must've been in 1999, we drove all round the island visiting all places of interest and had a great time, I'd recommend it to get the best out of the place.
