Hello,

Does anyone know whether the new purple PE seats have been rolled out across the entire fleet yet?

We have booked PE to Barbados in July and am hoping we won't be stuck with the old red ones yet again, especially since this new seating was announced with much fanfare three years ago now.

Hi and welcome to V-Flyer.

Unfortunately the PE seats have not yet been installed in the LGW aircraft. the roll out had been planned but then had to be put on hold thanks to the economic down-turn and has been postponed indefinitely. You may however be lucky as from time to time a LHR-based aircraft is used on the Barbados route which means not only the new PE seat but V-Port

I have changed the thread title, adding the ? to avoid any confusion.

You should know if you are on an LHR 747 as the seat plan in your booking will have lots of Upper Class (not just in the nose) and the premium will all be on the main deck.......it if shows this, then you will have the new seat and vPort!

Unless it's one the new config with the upper deck being split between Upper and Economy. [:)]
