How long is the refueling stop at Hong Kong ? Flying with 2 kids - is there time to get out and stretch legs ?

This thread shows that there is about an hour and a half between each leg when you will be expected to leave the aircraft

Just a word of warning as well that during the stopover in Hong Kong, you will need to take all personal belongings off the aircraft with you.

You'll get a good leg stretch, as part of the transit through to the next leg, bit of a convoluted route, involving numerous escalators, walking etc.
Once near the gate area for re-boarding, there's loads of shops, etc so you'll get a decent break from the aircraft.

Kids will also get funky little Koala transit stickers...

On arrival in HKG, Virgin always use gates 36 or 60 which are just a short walk to security check point, u then go upstairs and your back at the gate.

The aircraft is there for just 90 mins and boarding starts again 30 mins before departure. HKG is the most unstressful airport in the entire world and there is always a sense of calm.

The transit is not painful at all and you will have great journey.

Most definitely. Many folks from the LHR flight will also try to nab a shower. There is certainly time for that but you have to rush from the plane to the lounge to get one as there are only 2 available so the demand for them during that stop-over
