Just booked my Christmas Flights to St Lucia. P/E with BA as it was 408 per person cheaper than VS. VS was 500 pounds more for the same flight that I booked last year. Sorry VS i have been a faithful customer for many years. But last 2 Upper flights were well below par.
All i hope is BA are not on strike !!!!

Chances are that the cheaper buckets have been sold out on VS and all that is left are fully flexible tickets. EF shows the K bucket empty.

I think BA still have cheaper flights available due to less sales over the concerns of strike action. Thats probably why Virgin have sold out of their K class seats and BA have not. That's not Virgins fault surely it just shows they are selling more than BA??

I would imagine flights are cheaper to compensate for the fact most of their brand credibility has been flushed down the toilet by Unite.

There were never any K class available these flights. They are at Christmas time. Nor were there any Z or R in upper. on all the dates I checked, even on the day they were first released.

Just keep that 900 safe, you'll need it when you need to rebook because BA are striking... again!

I wouldnt crow too loudly, just remember how VS' joint owner accounted for VS in their books.......a major loss instead of the profit VS stated they made.

Its all in the numbers guys, VS are cutting service across the board and are starting to act like a LCC with all the additional charges for leg room seats, check in-chill out etc. So much for a full service carrier.

Regardless of loyalty people are starting to vote with their feet. Times are hard for everyone but cutting back on visible services affects regular customers views of the product drastically.

I would still think long and hard about changing carrier but the fact is VS are no longer a market leader in any sense.

If the assumption is that VS are no longer a market leader then their must be one and to be honest non springs to mind.

These cutbacks are irritating but there is being the market leader and not being in the market at all. There is much frowning about VS cutbacks but it has to be said there is more love for VS than any that would be lost for BA!.
