V-Flyer

Any one else having problems trying to book a rental car? I've tried for two days now for a rental car from Boston for 9 days on the VS site as its 3 FFC miles per for booking during February. Put all the details in click 'Find Cars' and each time I'm getting 'sorry there has been a problem' 'Accommodation not available' 'return to search page and start again'.
Obviously tomorrow is the last day to get the extra miles, perhaps its a carrot they don't really intend giving!

I have booked car hire through the VS site and also know another VF member who has done the same, so it is possible. I initially had a problem with the locations I was selecting as I couldn't use the drop off location I initally wanted, so it could be some silly little problem like that, or just a glitch that is currently affecting the system.

You wouldn't get the extra bonus miles being offered online if you booked via the phone.

It does appear that Boston is the only one going it. Looks like a bug or there is something changing for Boston, suppliers etc.

done it by phone and they have said I will get the extra miles. Problem seems to be they are dumping Dollar as of the 31st January and it would seem you have to book through the relevant own company websites now not thru VS !
