Hi Apple,

UC pax use the Club America lounge at MIA. It is an okay, shared lounge, with free drinks, wi-fi and snacks. There are sandwiches, soup, cakes and other basic snacks. Like all, non clubhouses, it is better than being in the main departure area, but certainly not a patch on one of the VS lounges.

We were there in November, and it was comfortable for an hour or so.

IIRC, the Club America lounge is used for UC in Miami.

If you use the Trip Report Index to search for the VS006, you will find various reports of Miami Airport and the lounge facilities offered.

Was there 29th Nov. I found it claustrophobic! No windows. There was soup ,sandwiches, & nibbles. I didn't appreciate the bottle of milk next to the tea, coffee machine!
Last year I used the adjacent lounge. It had windows, felt airier, had nibbles, wine spirits, tea coffee etc.( no milk bottle) All that was missing was soup & sandwiches Think next time I'll pick up my food & sit next door!

Miami airport, like its lounge, is dated. It's possibly the worst airport I've ever flown from.
In the lounge they offer wine and terrible food. But it's much better than being sat at the gate in departures!!!
The less time spent in Miami airport the better!

I would say that it is hands down the worst lounge I have been in, to be honest the whole terminal is pretty shabby!! That being said the lounge s clean has a few nibbles and free drinks so it's better than nothing!! (Certainly better than sitting in the terminal) but I'd consider checking in later and spending time elsewhere!

I was in there last Friday night and such a disappointment. I was directed right at reception which took me into the First class section....Hands down the worst airline lounge I have been in. I found the staff not at all friendly or attentive, the snacks were very basic - a few sandwiches, a chicken noodle soup and some crackers.

The spirits range was interesting....

and the soft drinks were from a fountain.

Left early to head to the gate (as did most others).....I couldn't stand it any longer, they also had Christmas songs playing which made quite a few of us chuckle.

It was been offered to passengers on Friday night at $20 each, guess it was quite in there.

Whilst Miami airport (arrivals or departures) is nothing to write home about... the description of the lounge offered to Upper Class passengers departing Miami does seem to put the Delta Sky Lounge at Orlando to shame.

In Orlando you do not even get offered a sandwich. Pre-packed cheese, crackers and pretzels are about the limit of the refreshments in Orlando. You're definitely far better off downstairs in the Outback Steakhouse. (Do VS still offer a voucher for UC pax who are willing to forego the Delta Lounge to spend in Outback? Am sure they used to do at one point).

Having experienced both, I'd take the Delta Sky Lounge at MCO over the Club America lounge at MIA anyday of the week and twice on Sunday's.
