Looking a little full.

we are going out PE and returning UC.

Perhaps a bump to VS027 UC out might be a runner............?

We've seen people offered (and accepting) a dash to LGW with inducements a couple of times now.

Not looking good is it - can I have your PE seats if you take the LGW flight since I'm slumming it in the back on the way out? ;) :P

Steve, are you still off to Sanibel?

If so, make sure to take a drive/walk around JN 'Ding' Darling National Wildlife Refuge - we saw so much there in November 09, even a wild otter which just ran across the road in front of us.

Also love the Naples area, and Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is also worth a visit, if you're into seeing some of the real wildlife. :)

Yep, we are spending some time at Fort Myers beach, so Sanibel is on the list. Had spotted the Darling park, but thanks for the heads up. Thinking about the Ford/Edison Winter estates and an Everglades safari.

An extra bonus is that on old friend of my wife (who she hasn't seen for 38 years) is flying in from Washington state.

Sounds like you'll be having fun then :)

Haven't been to Ford/Edison Winter Estates, but the Everglades are definitely worth visiting - our airboat trip was certainly an experience after the boat broke down, and they had to phone someone else to come rescue us - amazing that you can get a phone signal in the middle of nowhere, yet not in my house!!

We've got friends visiting from Canada, so we'll be hitting the Disney parks this time, before heading down to Key West for a few days.

Everglades safari is good as is the Corkscrew Swamp. One of the best places to find Everglades wildlife is Turner River Road, an un-tarmaced but well maintained track alongside a canal running up from the Tamiami Trail near Ochopee.
Lover's Key just south of Fort Myers Beach provides some miles of pristine beaches - we are there right now - just taken from our lanai -.

We see dolphin every day, often for hours, and they come right up to the dock.
This one is also taken out of our window.

We have been coming here for almost 20 years now - you can see why. Lost interest in Disney.

Few adverse winds today.

Arrived safely and at least the sun is shining. Immigration was incredibly slow today though.

Edited just to say I'm very glad we were on the flight on Wednesday rather than the volcanic ash nightmare of Thursday!!! Did wonder why we seemed to take a very straight line west out of Man without heading north at all, now I know why. y)
