I believe so. The encouragement to do it online is to save a lot of queuing at the airport, but we should remember that not everyone has an internet connection.

It can easily be done at the airport, alot easier than typing it in yourself I might add by a swipe of your passport.

Yes you can do it at the airport but it is better to do it on-line if you can as it takes time for the agent to type the details into the system. Imagine having them typing in the details for 300 pax and people wonder why theere are queues
Have the address of your first nights accommodation ready - preferably printed out and hand this to the agent as they need to type it into their system.

Just an FYI, apis should not have to be typed into the virgin check-in system unless the passport and or keyboard's playing up! Like I said, it's swiped, and as you said you're going from MAN I can say for definite it is swiped!
The address being printed is a good idea though, remember it was a pain being mumbled some american address!

swiped = run the edge of your passport through a scanning machine, a bit like when your credit card is swiped in the supermarket

Yepp the bottom of the passport, it's what all the numbers and whatnot are there for. There's a part at the top of the keyboard where you run them through, most check-in systems allow you to get APIS onto the system that way.
