Main cabin PE seats v Bubble PE seats LGW to MCO

Having read many of the posts in this Forum, I am now concerned that when I check in I dont get my PE seats downstairs but do manage to get them upstairs on the Jumbo.
Is there really that much difference?

Yes, there is.

In terms of the actual seat and PE service you receive, there is no difference (well the seat is different, but same pitch etc). The difference comes in the experience. Being upstairs makes you feel like you are in your own little private cabin and you get 2 dedicated cabin crew, so the level of service is very good.

The downstairs PE cabin is a bit boxed in between the UC galley and the economy section, and is only separated, by a curtain, so compared to upstairs it feels much less exclusive.

If it was a choice between Y and downstairs PE, I would still choose PE, because really you are paying the extra for the legroom and enhances benefits. However, you do really you want to try and get seats in the bubble to make your experience that much better.

we found the legroom downstairs to be less than up. the front row has a bulkhead which restricts leg extension. the window and adjacent seat are better.
the second row looked just as bad. even a member of the Fc on one trip said how man complaints they have had about how bad the PE downstairs is.
i actually disagree with Neil if the choice was only downstairs i would stick with EC and try and get row 65 i think it is (the second row of two seaters)

upstairs is totally different
