Well, looks like we made it. Just enjoyed a pleasant 'full-cooked' here in LGW Clubhouse. Less than 48 hours ago I would have staked my ISA on our flight being cancelled, so we consider ourselves very, very lucky mdviponds.
One down side - only Y food to be served in UC today due to all t'volcano hassle so, regrettably, we'll be making our way home soon; I'm not eating that filth! I jest of course, I'm sure it'll be just fine and an awful lot better than having no holiday at all. The only question is: chicken or beef...?

Never mind. It'll just need a lot of assistance to wash it down. ):

looking like it's working out for you and the family. Hope you have a great time.
Beef or Chicken, I would go for the beef as it tastes like chicken.

)
Of course, the biggest question is, do you have enough M&Ms, or has Tizer found the wonders of a DS?

The 'ponds are leaving the country. Best news I've heard all week, for all the right reasons

Sorry chap but we thought we we're getting y food today as well but it seems that the have managed to get the kitchens up and running over night so full menu will be loaded. I'm sure you'll make up for ir while you're away.
Have a good trip

Surely in UC you can have BOTH (but not necessarily on the same plate)

firstly my sincere apologies for not following your previous exploits closely enough in the "Back to the Volcano" thread

I put is down to my limited ability to keep track of 69 pages or so :w
I trust that the Gatwick Clubhouse fully lived up to expectations and allowed ample preparations for the flight ahead with Economy food.
i do hope they have not loaded the egg sandwiches as Tizer might believe that she is in the economy cabin ):

Well done and have a great holiday - pity about the food, I wonder how Michael Winner would have reacted?

Well, we've arrived in sunny Barbados. Senior Ponds and Tizer particularly delighted. And she's just found a tree frog in her room, which will give her something to torture for a few hours. Happy days.
Best news of all? Real UC food on the flight! Warm 'n' gloopy asparagus soup, really nice lamb pie and a naughty pecan tart. So, yet another potential disaster averted...

Glad you made it to the fabulous sunny Barbados! UC food and all

As we're flying out to Barbados later in the year would luv to hear about Gatwick clubhouse as never had the pleasure of their hospitality before. So if you get the time on your return it would be great to hear all the details.
From a very relieved Apple who has been able to do OLCI (oh what a pleasure) for her flight back from Miami today
