Sorry if this has been mentioned but I can't see anything (and I'm sure some mod will immediately post to tell me where it is anyway) but where was SRB during the volcano saga? BA seem to have come out of it quite well, but Virgin, who always like a good press opportunity, seem to be conspicuous in their silence?

Well he was in the studio with Matt Frei either last night or the night before (I forget) for BBC America World News which is filmed here in the US.

Yes, he appeared once everything was open again. Nothing whilst it happened though.

What were you expecting of him?
Did you think he may have developed a big plug that he drop into the volcano from one of his ballons?

Does it matter where he was? Nothing he said / did publically would have added anything
Is he a vulcanologist? geologist? meterologist? metalurlogist?
does he even have an ology?

I'm just wondering why a company that uses spin so well, didn't have SRB out claiming something or other, whereas BA have done very well out of it. It's unusual for Virgin to be so quiet

Funny how you never see SRB and that volcano in the same room together... hmmmm. Perhaps he knew the Cathay thing was coming gand kept a low profile.

I'm curious because srb mentioned that they had sent up test planes and felt that it was safe to fly prior to the end of the ban--I didn't see any report of that, did anyone else?

Well I wonder where from, a 346 or 747 from LHR would have been noticed during the ban. Is SRB smoking something?
