SRB on BBC News

Half heard SRB being interviewed this morning re ash cloud of doom aka icelands revenge aka volcanogate.

Was essentially about how VS was arranging extra flights, doing their best, how great it was some people were delaying their flights to help others etc etc

He made the point that the rules on flying in ash and the EU Compensation Regulation needed looking at but that was about the scope of his criticism of the Government etc. I suppose he couldn't really moan too much as its now been shown that the airlines basically refused to be at the table on coming up with a 'safe' limit.

Am sure it will be repeated during the day.

Didn't hear all of it as had a phone call from 'The Government' about my application for loft insulation. Now I'd love loft insulation but (a) I havn't applied for a grant and (b) not sure what the people upstairs would feel about me having their flat filled with foam etc

An interview with SRB was being replayed on the BBC World News quite a lot over the last few days. I was interested to hear he believes the airlines would be getting compensation from the government.

And as for your loft insulation, it's a well known scam, my in-laws got someone to come in and do it unde the government scheme, he basically threw everything int the loft, and an hour later was done. All he did was cover everything that was there with the new stuff, leaving huge cavities where the heat could go to. I spent 5 hours fixing his handywork.

Yes I realised it was a scam because I hadn't applied for a grant and the way he kept saying he 'was from the Government' and wouldn't tell me where he was actually calling from, or give his name. He actually put the phone down on me which is a change for a cold caller scam !.
