I've got quite a few thousand airmiles and don't plan to use them. Can I give/sell them to someone else? 8D

Nope, they're not transferable, and Virgin take a very dim view when they come up on eBay, etc.

You can't give the miles as such but what you can do is use them for flights for family and friends to fly VS. A few years ago we did it to send our friends to New York and later on used them to have friends accompany us on holiday.

Hi again

Thanks for your answers.

I've actually managed to find out something great today - anyone with airmiles that doesn't want them or isn't going to use them, can donate them to the "make-a-wish" charity which is for seriously ill children and it makes their dreams/wishes come true!

You just need to ring Virgin Flying Club and ask them to donate your miles to this charity.

I'm so pleased to find out that my miles aren't going to be wasted now!

:) Hi everyone

Just wanted to let everyone know this -

if you've got any spare airmiles that you don't want or are not going to use you can donate them to this charity -

"Make-a-wish" - it helps seriously ill children to have their dreams/wishes come true, so if any want to swim with dolphins or go to Disney for example, you can donate your airmiles to help this charity obtain free flights for the children to make their wishes come true. y)

To do this you just need to ring the Virgin Flying Club.

If you'd like to see this on the make a wish website, this is the link to it -

http://www.make-a-wish.org.uk//getinvol ... ns/#virgin

I've got over 18,000 airmiles that I'm not going to use, so I'm going to donate them to this charity.

Msny thanks for the information - it is a great cause.

I have merged the two threads to stop two discussions running about the same subject.
