Hi folks!!
I ask the above question because, well Ahem i have been "blessed" with a shapely rear and ample hips.... do i have to diet???
I'm not obese, by no means, but i am womanly. i tend to puff up slightly on planes as well xx( .
I know i get what i pay for but really how wide are the seats??????? ?| ?|

If I recall somewhere between 28" and 30", depending on where you sit, and on what plane.
Where are you heading ?

I think that the seats are 17.5" wide in economy. I think they are a little narrower if you sit in an exit / bulkhead row as the tray and tv screen are in the armrest.
If it helps I've been up to 17 St 10 lb and I've always fitted in Y seats ok (width wise at least ii) ) in times past!
Sure you will be fine.

Definitely avoid seats with unmovable armrests (i.e bulkhead seats), these will not be confortable at all and will make you feel the seats are narrower due to the armrests.

I find aisle seats feel roomier than inside seats as you have more 'elbow room'.
