Did hot towels get the chop?

Just thinking about my UC flight out to SFO on Monday, I don't remember being offered hot towels after takeoff or before landing.
Does anyone know if they have been given the chop too, or could they have just been omitted from the load?
Mike?

Hot towels seem to be a hit and miss thing. On my last trip we had them just after take-off and on my return, just before landing.

I also had them after take-off and before landing in UC in April - and very welcome they were too

We got hot towels in PE on the outbound to BOS last week, just after the drinks service.
I can't comment abut the return, as I was asleep before the drinks cart had finished its run.

Hot towels are still offered - they have not been given the chop.

Okay. Just being hit-and-miss then. Sorry for sending waves of bean-counter fear through the ranks!
I would have been surprised to find if they had gone, given I heard a rumour from the CC on my recent flight that some lamented elements of the onboard service may be making a comeback "following significant customer feedback".

I fly to barbados several times a year and normaly fly out PE and back UC (depending on configuration; i.e i like to fly out in the bubble). On this route standard is PE hot towel after take off; UC hot towel after take off and prior to landing. Must be frustrating for people when there is a lack of continuity, the hot towels being just one example

Hot towels were on the VS19 the day before your flight Mike, after take off and before landing.

Mike - I was in UC on the same SFO flight as you on Monday. I definitely got a hot towel at the start. I was in seat 12K downstairs if that made any difference. Darren

Weren't the crew good, though?

They were amazing. Particularly R & L. I think this was my best UC flight, purely down to the crew - their attentiveness, their freindliness and their 'nothing is too much of a problem' attitude.
