I've booked Main Cabin tickets with Virgin America as part of our summer trip and can find no way to pay for checked luggage. Is there a way to pay in advance or is it pay on the day only?
Thanks
Paul

I think it's pay on the day. Like you I have bookings with VX and couldn't find a way to pay in advance. Similarly I have bookings with Alaska and Continental and they too have baggage charges.
Last year with CO I found that to check in I had to use my credit card and the charge was taken then. At least it was not like Aer Lingus and Ryanair who charge extra to pay at the airport

Thanks. I was afraid I'd missed something in the process.

I have paid for an extra bag on VX a couple of times. It was a pretty seamless, easy process on each occasion at check in.

When I made my original post here it was 72hrs since I'd sent the a message to VX containing my question about baggage. This evening I received the following reply...
"To clarify, you can pay for your baggage up to 24 hours prior to your flight's departure, during the online check-in process. If you would like to check your baggage at the airport, you can pay with cash or credit card no later than 45 minutes prior to departure time at the check-in counter."
